In F-Prot you have four tools, each one with a specific function: F-Prot OnDemand Scanner, F-Prot Updater, RealTime Protector and F-Prot Scheduler.

The main tool is F-Prot OnDemand Scanner. It does a complete, exhaustive analysis of any disc drive, folder or lose file. It is a very agile function that even lets you analyze any file or folder in the drive with just a couple of mouse clicks.

As for the rest, F-Prot Updater works to update the program database. RealTime Protector, as the name indicates, offers continuous protection all the time your PC is switched on.
